The Village Calistoga uses a small number of standard website tools to understand how visitors use our site and to measure the performance of our advertising. This page explains what those tools are and how you can opt out.
What we collect
Google Analytics — collects anonymous usage information (which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and general location) so we can improve the website.
Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) — on our wine tasting page, records page visits and actions such as clicking "Reserve a Tasting" or using the booking calendar, so we can measure and improve our ads on Facebook and Instagram. Information collected by the Pixel may be associated with your Facebook or Instagram account under Meta's own policies.
Clicks on buttons and links (which button, which page) — to see which parts of the site are useful.
Regions that require consent
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our advertising Pixel does not load, because those regions require your consent before advertising tracking may run. You can still browse the whole site normally.
Your choices
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and turn on "Do Not Track," which limits these tools.
You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
You can control how Meta uses information for ads through your Facebook "Ad Preferences" and "Off-Facebook Activity" settings.
