The Village Foundation
Every child should get to make something.
The Village Foundation is being created to make art and creative experiences more accessible to children and families in Calistoga.
We're working toward 501(c)(3) status — and beginning with the place we already know makes a difference: The Village art room.

Make a donation
Help a child discover they're an artist.
Your gift keeps the art room stocked, supports accessible creative programming for local kids, and helps build the scholarships and community partnerships that make art reachable for every family in Calistoga.
Every donation goes directly toward more art, more access, and more kids creating.
The Village Foundation is currently in development and is working toward recognition as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Why art?
Art is more than something to take home.
When kids get time, materials, and a little encouragement, they practice things that stretch far past the art table.
- Confidence
- Problem solving
- Collaboration
- Gross and fine motor development
- Experimentation
- Self-expression
A child walks into an art room thinking, “I don't know how to do this.”
They leave saying, “I'm an artist.”
That shift matters.

Starting right here
It starts with one room.
The Village art room is already open to children who come through our doors.
Paint. Paper. Glue. Clay. Scissors. Markers. Materials to experiment with — and a place where there isn't one “right” way to make something.
Our first commitment as a Foundation is simple: keep the art room stocked, supported, and accessible.
From there, we want to grow.
Where we're going
More access. More art. More kids creating.
01
Affordable Art Programs
Low-cost and pay-what-you-can creative programming for local children.
02
Scholarships
Helping remove cost as the reason a child cannot participate.
03
The Art Room
Keeping quality supplies available for children to explore whenever they visit The Village.
04
Art in the Community
Partnering with artists, businesses, families, and organizations to bring creative experiences beyond our walls.
“I'm an artist.”
Sometimes the biggest thing a child makes in the art room isn't the piece they bring home.
It's confidence.
We've watched children begin an activity unsure of themselves — only to finish proudly talking about what they created.
The Village Foundation exists so more children can have that moment.

Coming soon
Our first fundraiser is coming.
We're currently planning the first fundraising event for The Village Foundation. It will bring together art, food, community, and some of the people who make Calistoga such a special place to raise a family.
The goal is simple: help fund accessible art experiences for local kids.
Follow the Foundation
Be the first to know.
Hear about the fundraiser, Foundation milestones, and new ways to help make art accessible for Calistoga kids.
Community partners
It takes a village. Literally.
We want The Village Foundation to be built with the community, not simply for it.
Artists. Restaurants. Wineries. Local businesses. Parents. Educators. Neighbors.
If you have an idea for a collaboration, fundraiser, in-kind donation, creative workshop, or another way to help make art more accessible to Calistoga kids, we'd love to hear it.

Become a community partner
Help us raise a generation of kids who believe they can make things.
We're just getting started. The Village Foundation is working toward nonprofit status, building our first partnerships, and planning our first fundraiser.
The Village Foundation is currently in development and is working toward recognition as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
