The Founding Family Play Membership is an optional monthly plan for families who want regular access to our family-friendly tasting room and play space. It includes unlimited open play (subject to capacity and posted schedules) and special Member perks described below.
Limited availability: Memberships are limited to 25 families.
Reservation to secure a spot: A $99 Reservation Fee holds your place and is credited to your first month once we open.
Non-refundable: The Reservation Fee is non-refundable, except if the business does not open (see Refunds).
Opening trigger: Monthly billing begins after the official opening date.
Billing date: $99/month, charged on the 1st of each month via your saved payment method.
First month credit: Your $99 Reservation Fee is credited toward your first billed month after opening.
Auto-renew: Membership renews month-to-month until canceled under Section 8.
Membership Fee: $99/month per family (see Family Pricing below).
Payment method: You authorize recurring charges to your card/bank on file each month on the 1st.
Failed payments: If payment fails, you agree to update your method within 7 days. We may suspend access until payment is resolved.
Taxes/fees: Applicable taxes and standard processing fees may apply.
Members receive:
Unlimited Open Play during posted Member or public play hours (capacity limits and time blocks may apply).
Weekly Sensory Session (1 per week, per family; pre-registration required; subject to schedule & capacity).
One Free Birthday Rental (one 2-hour private or semi-private slot within 12 months of opening; reservation required; blackout dates apply; standard cleaning included; additional fees for extra time, special setups, or unusual cleaning).
Childcare Discounts on any drop-off or supervised offerings we may offer or partner on (currently 10% off published rates; not a licensed childcare facility; offerings subject to availability and compliance requirements).
Guest Passes: 2 guest passes per month (each pass covers one child + one adult for open play; guest must attend with the Member).
Mercantile Discounts: 10% off full-priced mercantile items (exclusions may apply).
Welcome Gift for your family at first check-in after opening.
Family Pricing for Additional Children: Reduced add-on rate for additional children in the same household (current add-on: $29/month per additional child; subject to change with notice).
We may rotate or improve benefits over time. Any material change will be communicated per Section 11.
Active supervision required: A responsible, sober adult must supervise their children at all times. Our staff are not a substitute for parental supervision.
Age & equipment: Follow posted age/weight rules for equipment and areas. Use equipment as intended.
Health: Do not enter if sick or with a contagious condition. We may ask families to leave for illness concerns.
Footwear/food: Follow posted rules for socks, shoes, food & drink zones. No outside alcohol; no glass in play areas.
Respectful conduct: Be kind to staff and guests. No unsafe, destructive, or disruptive behavior.
Right to refuse service: We may refuse service, suspend, or terminate access (with refund per Section 9 if applicable) for rule violations, safety risks, or abusive conduct.
Alcohol: Adults may purchase and consume alcoholic beverages responsibly and only in permitted areas, in compliance with CA law. We will not serve anyone who appears intoxicated.
Inherent risks: Play activities involve risk of injury. By entering, you understand and accept the inherent risks, including slips, trips, falls, collisions, and equipment use.
Not childcare: Unless expressly stated for a program, we are not a licensed childcare facility; you remain fully responsible for your children.
Personal property: We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
Minimum commitment: You may cancel anytime after your first full month of active billing.
How to cancel: Send written notice (email is fine) at least 10 days before the next billing date to avoid being charged for the following month.
Access through term: After you cancel, you keep access through the end of the paid month.
No transfers: Memberships are non-transferable and may not be resold.
No refunds on partial months once a month has begun.
Reservation Fee credit: The $99 Reservation Fee is credited to your first billed month after opening.
Business does not open: If the business does not open, we will refund Reservation Fees in full to the original payment method.
We may close temporarily for weather, maintenance, private events, or holidays. We’ll post schedules in advance whenever possible. Temporary closures do not entitle Members to refunds, but we may offer reasonable make-goods at our discretion.
Member updates: You agree to receive email and SMS about schedules, safety updates, billing, and Member benefits.
Opt-out: You may opt out of marketing texts/emails, but we’ll still send transactional notices (e.g., safety, billing, policy updates). Standard carrier rates apply.
Notice of changes: We’ll provide at least 14 days’ notice before material changes to fees or key terms (except as required by law or for urgent safety issues).
We may photograph or film activities to share the Village experience. If you prefer not to be included, tell the front desk at check-in and we’ll note your media opt-out and do our best to avoid capturing you/your child in identifiable ways.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you (for yourself and on behalf of your child/ward and any other minors you bring) agree to:
Release & waive any claims against the Village, its owners, managers, employees, contractors, and affiliates arising from ordinary negligence related to your or your child’s participation and presence on premises;
Indemnify & hold harmless the Village Parties from third-party claims attributable to your or your child’s actions or rule violations; and
Consent to emergency care if we cannot reach you and a reasonable person would seek immediate care (you remain financially responsible for such care).
This Section does not waive liability that cannot be waived under California law.
We handle your personal information in accordance with our posted Privacy Policy. We don’t sell your personal information. Payment details are processed by our PCI-compliant payment processor.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be brought in the state courts located in Napa County, California, unless otherwise required by law. Each party consents to such jurisdiction and venue.
We may update this Agreement from time to time. The current version will be posted at the front desk and/or on our website. Continued use after a posted effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
This Agreement is the entire understanding about the Membership and supersedes prior understandings on the same subject. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver.
By (a) paying the Reservation Fee or Membership Fee, and/or (b) accessing the premises as a Member, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to this Membership Agreement, including the House Rules and Safety provisions.
